Water Conservation

Due to the rapid expansion of the region, heightened demand for water resources, and unpredictable environmental drought conditions impacting the City and its residents, water conservation has become an increasingly pivotal aspect of Justin's long-term objectives.

Watering Restrictions

Justin has adopted a permanent twice-a-week watering schedule per the Water Conservation Ordinance to limit outdoor watering to no more than two days per week. Watering with hand-held hoses, soaker hoses or drip irrigation is allowed at any time. No outdoor watering with automatic irrigation systems or hose-end sprinklers from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on any day of the year. Watering with hand-held hoses, soaker hoses or drip irrigation systems is allowed at any time.

EyeOnWater

EyeOnWater lets you connect to City of Justin water utility accounts to see how much water you're using and can even alert you to possible leaks on your property. Click here to visit the EyeOnWater Portal.

The conversion is all done inside the meter box and there is no disturbance to your property or disruptions in your water service.

Irrigation Check-Up Program

The Upper Trinity Regional Water District, in partnership with the City of Justin, is offering FREE Irrigation System Check-Ups for homeowners! As part of the voluntary program, a licensed irrigator will perform a check-up of the system and identify potential problems, such as broken or misaligned sprinkler heads and improper controller settings.

During the check-up, the irrigator will discuss proper irrigation system maintenance, controller operation, and efficient watering habits, and provide a written report with suggested repairs and an estimated water savings amount to the homeowner.

To request this free check-up, click here to fill out the online request form. For homeowners who qualify, the licensed irrigator will contact you to schedule the check-up.
